REPRESENT Footwear, located within Guthrey Centre, is a place of passion and personal styling for all the shoes you never knew you needed.
“I tell customers ‘You won’t be allowed to leave the shop if the shoe isn’t right for your foot.’ They ask me what I mean, and then they say thank you,” Leyton explains, of the passionate service provided in-store. It’s a mission that runs through the entire team, and a “long term vision,” according to Leyton. Catering to each customer individually, the team know that every person and need is different.
“It’s about having fun with our customers. More importantly, it’s about meeting their needs and understanding their foot, their mechanics, their styles.” A “blend of function and style” sums up the brands Leyton stocks on the REPRESENT shelves. He’s proud of New Zealand-owned and designed brand Belle Scarpe, while Spanish-designed Carmela is a favourite from European shores, producing eight million pairs annually and stocked in 90 countries worldwide.
