Boots ‘n’ all

Ankle boots may be winter must-haves, but their versatility makes them a year-round essential.

These little ankle biters provide the complete coverage of a boot, but their chic streamlined shape means they can mix well with just about everything in your closet, from a jeans and tee combo to boxy sweatshirts and coats – and even that little black dress. High-heeled boots can elevate denim, and combat boots can add edge to a little paisley dress.

From flats to heels, there is no shortage of styles and colours this season. A sartorial safari of animal prints have been stalking the runway recently and the Vola Boots by Mollini (pictured), from Victoria Street’s style staple, Robin Pierre, are the ultimate way to dip your toes into this trend. Better yet, the neutral tone of this animal print pairs perfectly with, well… everything!

For traditionalists who want to play it safe with a classic black boot, the Vola Pony Boot offers the same statement heel with the soft feel of pony hair. They’ll turn the most simple outfit into a statement look. Because, even though Nancy Sinatra famously sang that ‘These Boots Are Made for Walking’, they’re also made for everything else – from dancing to daydreaming.

So why not keep your outfit simple and let the footwear do the talking?

Gorgeous shoes, rebooted: Robin Pierre

Robin Pierre of Auckland is delighted to introduce its new Christchurch store on Victoria Street. This destination store steps glamorously into the shoes of the original Robin Pierre in Merivale that closed its doors in March.

Robin Pierre in Victoria Street has refreshed the original Robin Pierre Christchurch concept. They have added new labels brought down from their Auckland stores. Amongst the extensive selection you’ll find Django and Juliette, Mollini, Top End, Silent D and Rollie plus new brands for summer. Sales and Marketing Manager Tay Jackson says, “We aim to showcase a modern mix of shoes, which will appeal to a wider range of women who will be able to find the perfect shoe for every occasion”.

Discerning women will find their wish for beautifully stylish yet wearable shoes fulfilled. The store is a mecca for modern, casual boots, while high fashion or occasion outfits from local boutiques will be completed with the latest and the most coveted in heels – strappy and chic, sophisticated and elegant, coming this summer.

The team is already finalising the summer styles, “we aim to be first stop on the list for keen racegoers putting their fashion in the field looks together,” Tay says. “We are so excited about expanding both the range and customer appeal.”  The store is a gorgeous place to be while you experiment with looks and refine your style.
