Shoe business: Issimo Christchurch
There’s no business like shoe business and no-one knows that better than Belinda Blanchfield.
With an obsession comparable to that of Sex of the City’s Carrie Bradshaw, Belinda was born to surround herself with shoes. With her family, she opened Issimo Christchurch in Merivale, a women’s footwear and fashion accessory boutique.
Stocking brands exclusive to New Zealand such as Oxitaly, Belinda’s focus was always on finding the best locally and internationally for her discerning customers. “Oxitaly still holds a strong place in our hearts, as it does for the repeat customer,” Belinda says. New colours and styles add to their growing collection of beautiful footwear. “It makes us so happy that customers love them as much as we do.” This owner-operated team have sourced brands from across Europe during their travels, including Mara Bini, Officine, Accatino, Rebecca Balducci and many more. “Not to forget our wonderful New Zealand designers Kathryn Wilson and Saben who have been with us for over 10 years,” she adds.
With a thriving online site, Belinda has begun winding down her bricks and mortar offering. Find an Issimo pop-up at The Colombo Mall, with end of lines and last pairs of shoes and accessories.
“With wedding season and Cup Week approaching, there are plenty of options to elevate your outfit,” she says.
