It’s springtime. It’s family time. It’s as true to Canterbury as it gets. You guessed it…
The New Zealand Agricultural Show is back for another year. 
Celebrating its 160th anniversary, the countdown is on for a few days of fabulous fun at The Show. Whether you’re a seasoned show veteran or a first timer, there’s always something new to discover at this iconic Canterbury event.
What to expect:
The New Zealand Agricultural Show has been around since 1862, so it’s fair to say they know a thing or two about agriculture! The Show is a fun and unique way to get an insight into rural life, whether that’s watching the equestrian events in the Main Arena, interacting with the farm animals in the Hazlett Farmyard, or seeing the new and old farm machinery on display.
The thrill of competition will keep the whole family’s eyes on the prize, with over 3000 competitions happening around the grounds over the three days. The more you enter, the more you win!
The Show really is the gift that keeps on giving, as amongst all of this you will find woodchopping, carnival rides, demonstrations, petting zoos, tractor rides, arts and crafts, gumboot throwing, barn dancing, and so much more.
Of course, a big day out means plenty of refreshments necessary and The Show will not disappoint in this area. Discover the array of culinary delights, with local producers and some of Canterbury’s finest food and beverage businesses ready to serve up delightfully tasty treats all day.

• First release adult tickets are $30 until 31 October

under go free
• Adult VIP Passes are also available. Get access to the
La Croix and The Breeze VIP area including
