Seasonal hair trends: Hair Art & Beauty

As much as some hate it, autumn is sneaking up on us.

Luckily, the Hair Art & Beauty team are keeping tabs on new trends, and ones that are here to stay.
Read on for their picks for autumn and winter hair and beauty trends.

Styles: The shaggy, layered cut is back. You’ve probably seen the 80s-inspired shaggy cuts, often paired with shorter bangs around the face-line. If you love this vibe, but are hesitant to commit, consider the Butterfly Cut. Flying onto the radar late 2022, the Butterfly Cut gives layered movement to long or medium-length locks. Giving a modern twist to the 80s shag.

Colours: As the colder weather descends, we’ll see darker, warmer tones being requested. We love jazzing up a brunette with a chocolate or plum Colour & Gloss, a high-shine colour glaze that fades out gently with no regrowth. We especially love seeing the popular copper and crimson tones in the shaggy styles. Also looks great on shorter styles like the Mixie, a contemporary, longer version of the classic Pixie cut.

For a more temporary colour change, we have the Great Lengths tape extensions available in a variety of colours.

Skin: More than ever, you’ll see people wearing minimal makeup, aiming for the ‘glass skin’ look, meaning smooth, dewy, and luminous skin. Nailing down your skincare routine with regular facials, add-on treatments such as microdermabrasion, and dermal needling can help achieve this look and give you the confidence to go natural.
