Pub with a personal touch: Protocol

With Cup Week kicking off, it is time to dress up, head to the races, and celebrate in the city.

Looking for a place to enjoy a pre-race family brunch and Champagne, or keen to have a night out with friends after the races, you’ll find the best of both worlds at Protocol.
Boasting two function rooms, this beloved venue can also accommodate larger groups, giving you the opportunity to host a party, celebration, or local event.
Owner Genaea Calvert describes Protocol as so much more than just your typical pub. “Good vibes, delicious food, lovely staff, and incredible atmosphere,” she says. The modern and open set up featuring a courtyard is a standout as we head into the warmer months.
Popular with locals, the team strives to get to know their regular customers on a personal level, with a promise to provide excellent customer service.

Having just launched their spring menu, there is something for everyone. Genaea gushes over the excellent chef creations and beautiful food which can “cater to a whole variety of different people”. Featuring sharing platters, small plates and heartier mains, it is great for a light lunch, a fancy dinner out, or casual dining with their extensive pizza menu.
