New Chinese eats in Christchurch: Easteat

Christchurch is blessed with an array of global taste sensations, and now there is even more to enjoy.

Another gorgeous opportunity in authentic North Eastern Chinese cuisine now awaits you. Prepared by chefs who hail from both Northern China and Si Chuan, the dishes are created with spices imported from China especially for the restaurant.

Easteat is easy to find on Riccarton Road and is the second of its kind. “Our first Easteat is in Hokitika and still going strong after seven years,” says owner Yingtao Yu. “We have a long hospitality background, we really love what we do and are thrilled to bring it to Christchurch.”

The new Riccarton restaurant is offering a wider range of dishes, with hand pulled noodles, fusion cuisine, and authentic Chinese dishes especially tailored to include favourite western flavours.
“There are always hand pulled noodles, fresh soups daily, hand-made dumplings pan fried, steamed, or boiled, and we use fresh meat and vegetables daily,” says Yingtao. “We do a variety of set menus for two, six, or 10 people, and serve large portions at a reasonable price.”

Fully licensed, with BYO available, picking your poison comes easy. On-site parking and seven-day opening between 11am–9pm complete the package for this must-do dining experience.
