A day out, a long weekend, or an extended break away, Cantabrians are spoilt for choice when choosing a travel destination, and finalising where to go.

Close to home in Christchurch, many suburbs and satellite towns offer a host of activities, regular occasions and events, in addition to plenty of exciting places to eat, drink, and make merry.

Thanks to its central location, Christchurch is only an hour or four from most South Island destinations, and by plane throughout the country. From top to bottom, New Zealand’s cities, towns, and heartland are never too far away to visit and enjoy.

Flights leave from Christchurch several times a day to far-flung exotic, tropical, and exciting destinations, and the cruise ship season allows for sea adventures too.
