Lay the table
Tablescapes are such a highlight at dinner parties for me, and the season we’re in is when they truly come to life. Behind every enthralling installation is a considerate creator, and a concept that didn’t just come down the chimney with Santa. By Nina Tucker.
Craft cohesion: Through serve ware such as cutlery and napkins, you can achieve a common colour scheme for a cohesive tablescape.
Napkins & napkin rings: Explore unique ways to present your napkins, through folding or with napkin rings that represent the season.
Cutlery casings: It is the season, so embrace it. Small touches of Christmas flair add a thoughtful, festive feeling for your guests.
Centrepieces: When dressing your table runner, consider theme and colour, dimensions such as height and width, and elements that reflect the Christmas décor within your home. Construct circular displays, going as Scandinavian-minimalist or gloriously-maximalist as you like. For garlands, use natural, or faux-natural elements such as pine branches, pinecones, and sprigs of berries, before scattering candles and decorations for warmth.
