ExerciseNZ is encouraging all Kiwis to kickstart 2025 by making movement an essential part of their daily lives. “Whether it’s an early-morning beach walk, joining a local exercise class, or tackling that daunting pre-season training, committing to regular physical activity now can set the tone for a healthier and more fulfilling year ahead,” says CEO Richard Beddie.
His suggestions for flourishing through movement and exercise include:
1. Connecting with one of the 500+ gyms and exercise facilities nationwide, whether for group exercise classes, personal trainers, or specialised programmes.
2. Workplaces, government, and community groups encouraging physical activity as a part of everyday life.
3. Building cultural capability within the exercise industry, including fostering environments that are welcoming and inclusive.
4. Supporting mental health wellbeing via the benefits of physical activity.
