Hot cocoa-buie

When it’s chilly outside, there’s nothing better than settling in with a hot cup of cocoa. Sometimes, though, we crave a more
grown-up twist to this classic favourite, which is often as simple as just adding a tot of rum or whiskey to your mug. Other times, we want something extra special.

When that moment comes, put on your woolliest socks, light the fire or turn up the heat pump, and try this delicious hot cocoa-buie.
(If you don’t have a bottle of Drambuie, any whiskey or brand liqueur will work, such as Grand Marnier).

Ingredients

  • 60ml Drambuie
  • 265ml milk
  • 85gm hot cocoa mix or drinking chocolate powder, or DIY your own with sugar and cocoa powder.
  • 1/8 Tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 Tsp sea salt

Instructions
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients and warm over medium heat. Stir slowly until simmering. Serve hot, piled high with miniature marshmallows (optional).
