Have a heritage wedding: Ferrymead Heritage Park

A special place creates special memories, and Christchurch has some of the best.

Ferrymead Heritage Park is one of Christchurch’s long standing historical landmarks, home to an early 1900s township with beautifully restored buildings throughout the park.

Hosting a variety of locations to hold your special day with Ferrymead Park, it includes a gorgeous 1911 Methodist Church venue, non-denominational. All are welcome to celebrate with a personalised ceremony.

The park’s Friendly Societies Lodge is the perfect place to hold your reception and delight your guests all year round. The Lodge opens out onto the lake, creating a gorgeous setting for the ideal photo opportunity.

If you are looking for a quaint, unique venue, the Heritage Railway Station is just the place. The Station is located alongside the park railway tracks in the heart of ‘Moorhouse Township’.

“We are fortunate enough to also have a range of outdoor locations for your ceremony, reception or photoshoot,” says Park and Finance/HR Manager Vanessa Hale. “These include the Heritage Rose Garden, Coronation Park, or under the Willow Tree by the lake.”

Not to be missed, she adds, is the park’s famous Wedding Tram, “available to make your special day that much more memorable, and adding a point of difference like no other”.
