Hand-picked cars: Magnum Prestige
Founded by certified motor mechanic Garry Cliff, Magnum Prestige can trace its origins back to 1973.
For the last 50 years, Garry has been a trailblazer within the New Zealand motor industry. He was also one of the first dealers to actively start importing vehicles direct from Japan during the mid-eighties, even taking customers to Japan with him to ensure they could personally select the car they wanted.
Fast forward to today and the company is still going strong with a boutique showroom at 348 St Asaph Street. Here you find a selection of premium SUVs and performance cars from Jaguar, BMW, Porsche and Mercedes. Each vehicle has been hand-picked by Garry to ensure only the best qualify for the showroom floor.
There are even purpose-built race cars too. This stems from Garry’s background as an amateur racing driver, competing in classic motorsport events and saloon car classes.
His line-up includes an ex-Stone Brothers racing 2007 Ford Falcon BA V8 Supercar and an extremely rare, race ready, New Zealand new, 1991 Porsche 911 964 RS, one of 27 right hand drive examples built.
