28 AUG: GROW YOUR OWN CUT FLOWERS
Discover how simple it is to grow a variety of cut flowers from seed with self-taught flower-garden enthusiast Isabelle Weston, at The Kiosk, Christchurch Botanic Gardens. This paid hands-on beginners workshop from Canterbury Horticultural Society will teach the essentials of raising your own flower seeds from planting to growth, with enough knowledge and seeds to take home so you can nurture a thriving flower garden. 27-28 SEP: BOTANICAL EXPO
Listen up, keen gardeners and plant lovers. This fun, affordable event at Lincoln Event Centre is your opportunity to immerse yourself in a gardening extravaganza. Find rare alpines, bulbs, and perennials, alongside stalls to buy those hard-to-find treasures. See the New Zealand Alpine Garden Society Spring Show, South Island National Daffodil Society Show, Christchurch Bonsai Society Show, and the Avon Floral Art annual competition for a $5 entry fee.
