Form & fit: Maxwell Fashion
Fashion retailer Rosalie Maxwell knows women aged 50 plus love to dress with style yet struggle to find garments to suit their shape and lifestyle.
Now, she spends her time sifting through sartorial finds for her boutique that has a point of difference – a body-conscious shopping experience.
Everyday wear with edge. Comfortable streetwear with character. Clothing collections made of high-quality, natural fibre and 100% wool garments – and a styling service that exceeds expectations. “I take time and give genuine help to each customer. That’s my passion,” Rosalie says, owner of Maxwell Fashion in Halswell.
Rosalie rejects the idea that baggy and billowing clothing should be a bigger woman’s uniform. “It comes down to experience in recognising a look that a person is comfortable with, that can also really enhance their figure and shape.” Clothes are made to fit the body – not the other way around, so user-friendly fabrics play a key role.

Featuring vibrant prints and bright hues, Rosalie’s curation is a tactical way of using colour to reflect life. Vivid pinks, paua, jewel and cobalt blues – the focus is on colours that complement customers.
Park outside and walk into a better way of dressing at 17 Lillian Street, Halswell.
Maxwell Fashion offers a full alteration service available for in-store purchases and other garments, to create your perfect fit from the ground up.
