Facial cleansing tool

When it comes to exfoliating, using just your hands to cleanse your face doesn’t always cut the mustard. That’s where a cleansing brush comes in handy.

Cleansing brushes, including electric or battery operated vibrating options, are ideal for delicately exfoliating facial areas, and may also be used on arms and legs. You can buy your favourite cleanser or exfoliator, and put it on the brush which will then do the work for you, getting rid of old makeup, other grime and dead skin.

A vibrating cleansing brush also doubles as a great facial massager, adding to a relaxing skincare routine.

Types of cleansing brushes include:
• Silicone
• Nylon
• Soft bristle kabuki brush (ideal for sensitive skin)
• Replaceable sponge heads on vibrating models

Silicone comes highly recommended as it holds fewer germs, although cleansing after each use is a good idea.
Most cleaning brushes claim to get rid of acne, reduce wrinkles (by stimulating collagen), exfoliate thoroughly, and shrink pores. Big-name brands in this area are Shiseido, FOREO, and RoseSkinCo. You can also find less expensive non-brand name alternatives if you want to try one before investing more.

Like most things, do your research first, and see what is best for your skin type.
