Expo brings dreams to life: Christchurch Wedding Expo
Planning your dream wedding should be one of the most special times in life, not stress-filled months spent liaising with wedding suppliers, and keeping track of deposits and appointments.
Morgan Tracy-Mines from Elysium Planning and Events believes wedding planning should be relaxed and fun so the bridal couple, their friends, and family can enjoy the lead up to the big day.
With this in mind, Morgan is launching the inaugural Christchurch Wedding Expo 2025, which promises to be the perfect space to find vendors that match any budget. “I saw a gap in the market for a really big wedding expo. There’s the baby expo, cuisine and travel expos, and we have seen that brides also benefit from having a range of vendors under one roof,” she says.
More than 85 vendors will showcase their products, services and designs on 21 June 2025 at Te Pae Convention Centre in central Christchurch. “The vendors are excited to meet expo guests. It is a great way to find everything you need for your dream wedding, all in the one place,” Morgan says.
WEDDING ADVICE
Morgan’s company Elysium Events and Planning will feature at the expo, and she will be on hand to advise couples on how to take the stress out of wedding
decision-making and planning.
“Elysium is a full-service wedding planning company that covers everything from day dot. We find and manage vendors, develop the design and invitations, manage timelines and are on hand on the big day to manage all the moving parts,” Morgan explains.
Elysium has no set fees or packages; it’s a completely bespoke service, so there are no surprises or hidden extras. Morgan also wanted Christchurch Wedding Expo to be a bespoke experience, inclusive of all brides, no matter their wedding theme or budget.
“The expo promises to be a really fun day. It will cater for the $100k bride who wants all the extras, and also the backyard bride who is looking to achieve her dream day on a smaller budget,” she said. Tickets are available via the website.

General admission tickets are $25, or guests can upgrade to a $150 VIP ticket. The latter includes access to the VIP lounge, a free drink on entry, grazing tables, a $1500 goodie bag, and a one-on-one consultation with a wedding planner.
