Expect the unexpected

Lamborghini has unveiled its most extreme V12 supercar yet.

Called the Revuelto, it succeeds the Aventador as the flagship sports car of the Lamborghini family, speeding down an ever expanding highway. This Lambo is a plug-in hybrid.
Lamborghini call the Revuelto a “High Performance Electrified Vehicle”. What that means is that the Revuelto’s naturally-aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine is complemented by three electric motors, one of which is housed within the new double-clutch eight-speed transmission. It can boost power at low revs and also turn the Revuelto into a full electric car if required. Combined power is rated at a hefty 1015hp.

The Revuelto features a new aeronautical-inspired chassis construction called the “monofuselage”. Made of multi-layered carbon composites, including an entirely carbon front end, it weighs 10 percent less than the outgoing Aventador.

The Revuelto also features a new active rear wing which shifts position depending on which of the 13 different drive modes you happen to be in. The body itself takes inspiration from Lamborghini’s limited run back catalogue, including the Veneno and Essenza SCV12.

No word yet on New Zealand pricing but you can bet it won’t be cheap.
