Dinosaurs & good deeds: Jurassic Adventure
Christchurch’s prehistoric theme park is ramping up for the holiday season.
With business partner Peter Gatonyi, Aaron Keown has successfully curated an immersive, sensory, and all-round thrilling experience with Jurassic Adventure. Celebrate and spend time with family with this holiday special, The Big 3: experience the Mini Golf, Dino Dig, and Raptor Run maze, all for $99. It’s the best way to spend a day and burn off festive food, at an incredible price point.
Fill stockings or tick off the last-minute wishlist thanks to the retail shop on site, which homes one of the largest collection of dinosaur toys and souvenirs in New Zealand.
Aaron is known for being a ‘good sort’ in the community, and these values live on at Jurassic Adventure, such as the Dinosaurs after Dark experience for Kidsfest earlier this year. Another initiative was Putt for Prostate, where Jurassic Adventure opened its mini golf course at 6am on 20 September to host Dave Fitzgerald’s 700 putts in one day, to honour the 700 men yearly who die of prostate cancer. Aaron says that the opportunity to get involved in charity events is never turned down. “It’s extremely worthwhile.”
In 2025, Jurassic Adventure will take school groups through its prehistoric doors, to tour the space, meet the dinosaurs, and learn all about the Jurassic period. See why it’s becoming the city’s favourite source of entertainment at 239 Opawa Rd.
