Designing innovative joinery: Master Joiners

They had such a great time with their inaugural awards last year that members of the Canterbury branch of Master Joiners are already abuzz preparing for this year’s competition.

“Joinery is a highly skilled craft practised for centuries,” explains Canterbury President Nathan Busch. “Our awards celebrate professional excellence in the craft across a range of constructions, such as kitchens, doors, windows and benchtops. After the success of last year we expect even more entries this year showcasing some of the finest work from the industry in Canterbury and celebrating innovation in design. It all helps to raise the profile of the joinery craft in people’s minds.”

The awards are judged in nine different categories including best staircase, best kitchen design and best specialty fit-out. They will be presented on April 29.
