Creating lush, green lawns: Readylawn
A beautiful lawn doesn’t happen by itself. It takes care and nurturing, yet it is possible to have a beautiful, healthy, lush lawn growing at your home or business in a matter of hours.
For 50 years the third generation family business, Readylawn has known that the grass is always greener when you really care for it. One of the company’s recent projects is testament to that.
“A very exciting project of late for us has been working on Christchurch City Council’s redevelopment of Lancaster Park,” says Roger Morgan, managing director of Readylawn.
“Work began in April 2021 to turn the park into a green recreational space including community sports fields and a cricket oval. We carried out the irrigation installation and grassing after the main contractors, Taggarts, took care of the old stadium foundation removal and importation of 800 truckloads of topsoil.”
Roger says it was a significant task to construct and grow the grass seed over the 6.8 hectare (16 acre) site and the fields will be ready for opening by the end of June. “We are proud to have been involved in this successful partnership with Taggarts and CCC.”

Readylawn’s landscape teams also work on smaller landscape projects such as laying instant Readylawn and planting and irrigation at residential properties
“A growth aspect of our work has been the introduction of our range of quality artificial grass. With much smaller sections becoming the norm artificial grass is an excellent alternative and we have a number of options available,” says Roger.
