Be part of the Addington magic: Addington Raceway

A highlight on New Zealand’s sporting and social calendars, Addington Raceway takes the stage for two incredible days of racing, entertainment, fashion, and great food and wine this November.

The action starts on Tuesday 14 November
with the IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup Day, and continues on Friday 17 November with the Canterbury Show Day Races, both at Addington Raceway, Christchurch.
Marking the 120th running of the New Zealand Trotting Cup, Addington has completely reimagined the 14 November event, with an exceptional array of features.
Check out the debut of The Crossing Cup Day Fashion Marquee, the vibrancy of ZM on the Green with
Bombay Sapphire (formally Lindauer Lawn), and a revamped Public Village.
ZM on the Green
Experience the brand-new “ZM on the Green with Bombay Sapphire” at this year’s event – an exhilarating collaboration between ZM and Bombay Sapphire that promises to bring the festivities. Featuring live music, cocktail bars, VIP zone, premier horse racing action, and unforgettable moments, “ZM on the Green with Bombay Sapphire” is poised to be one of the highlights of this year’s Cup Day.

Public Village
The heart of the action, the Public Village, has been completely reimagined. Expect pop-up craft and cocktail bars, DJ sets, a silent disco, food trucks, and prime views from the public lawn of all the racing action.

Fashion Marquee
Making its return after more than a decade, and bringing a fresh dimension to the event is The Crossing Cup Day Fashion Marquee.

Addington Raceway CEO, Brian Thompson, says Addington’s commitment lies in pushing the boundaries of innovation and elevating guest experiences. “The introduction of new areas and a redesigned footprint epitomises our dedication to creating unforgettable moments and ensuring our guests enjoy an exceptional time.”

Of course, punters can also enjoy all the racing action from the Public Lawn, with great views of the home straight. Grab a drink, place a bet and cheer your favourite all the way home.

SHOW DAY TROTS
The Show Day Races, on Friday 17 November, offer a fantastic way to celebrate Canterbury Anniversary Day. There are no public surcharges for Show Day Races and entry is gold coin donation.
