A social summer: Serve Social

Friendly competition – or maybe not so much – it’s what the Kiwi summer is made of.

Think ping pong, darts, escape rooms, Serve Social is the home of eat, drink, and play this summer. Their interactive darts is perfect for groups of two to 32 players, complete with software to run a lively competition tailored to you. Shuffleboard is built with interactive lights, five game modes, and interactive scoring, while ping pong or cornhole suits those looking for even more, sure to induce some friendly competition.

Serve Social is about giving those classic well-known games a high-tech twist, making them interactive and perfect for any skill level. Unlike other bars and venues in Christchurch, this is one of the only places for adult-focused fun. With staff emceeing different competitions and finals, the atmosphere is one of a kind.

SO YOU THINK YOU KNOW IT ALL?

Adding to the fun, The Game Show, one of Serve Social’s rising favourites, has earned itself a dedicated space. The area has a television studio game set up where six teams of two to five can compete, and a host who runs all the games. “Think games like The Chase, Family Feud, and Wheel of Fortune, all rolled into a one-hour experience,” says owner Logan McMillan.

Also arriving at this Christchurch hot spot is a bottomless brunch, which includes unlimited pizza and snacks, your choice of five cocktails or drinks per person, and two-hours of activities – perfect for summer fun. “You’ll get half an hour on each of our four activities, ping pong, darts, cornhole, and shuffleboard, and will get a cocktail at each activity, alongside unlimited pizza and snacks,” says Logan. Bottomless brunch will be introduced in January so keep an eye on the website below for booking information.

Escape rooms are a forever favourite, naturally. More than just solving a range of puzzles, these escape rooms are a cinematic experience. “They have really good sound effects and music tracks, we like to put different story twists in each room,” says Logan. With varying difficulty levels, there are rooms for groups of all abilities, so gather your mates and uncover the mysteries.

Whether you’re planning a relaxed date night for two, celebrating a birthday, or organising a work event, you will find something for everyone at Serve Social. Book ahead to ensure you don’t miss out on the fun.
