A hair and beauty destination: Le Plaisir
Choosing just the right hair and beauty salon is so important.
Whether it is for hair removal or hairdressing, micro-needling and dermaplaning, or injectables, you need to feel comfortable, relaxed and confident you are in safe hands.
Le Plaisir is a relaxed, peaceful, happy environment that clients love. From regular beauty treatments to hair services, nail enhancements to pampering facials and massages, it’s all available in one welcoming boutique salon, at Silverstream in Kaiapoi.
New to the list of services is injectables, and cosmetic teeth whitening, both starting this month.
“One day a week, a qualified nurse trained by Dr Phil Frost, with his approval and oversight, will be coming to the salon to offer this treatment to our clients,” says owner/director Aniko Chahine.
Loyal clients who travel from Akaroa, Hanmer and throughout North Canterbury all agree that the talented staff at Le Plaisir excel at providing exactly what they want.
Popular services include IPL/SHR (super hair removal) LED with six light settings (most LEDs have 2 or 3), HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) for skin tightening treatments, micro-needling and dermaplaning.
“This [HIFU] is a non-surgical skin tightening procedure, most popularly used for neck and chin. Our therapists are all are expertly trained, ensuring that clients are in the best possible hands,” says Aniko.
A full range of hairdressing services is also available, and greatly sought after. Highly experienced, the stylists have been working in the industry for 20-40 years, constantly upskilling themselves, by regular training sessions with L’Oréal and Redken, putting them at the top of
their game.
“Many clients return again and again because of the personal relationships they develop with their hairstylists and therapists,” says Aniko. “Service is not rushed, there is enough time to chat and enjoy the experience. Clients are not just a number, at Le Plaisir it is a personalised experience.”
Staff are not just customer focused, they’re also forward thinking. A new trend identified last month that’s not so new to Le Plaisir is known as the ‘Silent Treatment’. For those who suffer from anxiety and prefer not to chit-chat, it has been part of the business ethos at Le Plaisir since pre-Covid-19, under its
‘B Silent’ option.
