Magic slice

An easy and delicious slice from the gorgeous new Beautiful Baking book by Sue Heazlewood.

INGREDIENTS
Makes 16 pieces

  • 250g plain biscuits, blitzed
  • 170g butter, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 3/4 cup slivered almonds
  • 395g can sweetened condensed milk

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan bake). Line a 20cm square slice pan with baking paper.
  2. Combine the blitzed biscuits with the melted butter and press evenly into the prepared slice pan.
  3. Sprinkle over the chocolate chips, then the coconut, the dried cranberries and lastly the slivered almonds
  4. Pour the condensed milk over evenly.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes. Leave in the pan to cool before cutting into squares.
