Putting people in homes: Rent Wise Property Management
People and property are Shona Saunders’ passion. Combining the two, she works with rental property owners and also tenants to ensure the best for both.
REINZ accredited, Shona has been working in the rental field for more than 10 years, through her company Rent Wise Property Management.
Repeat clients are a sure sign of her success, reflective of the high standards she and her team set. “We [Shona and husband Michael Brookland] are dedicated to achieving the correct result in each situation, We are here for the owners of properties, we’re also here for the tenants. Everyone involved plays an important role in successful rental properties,” Shona explains.
“We have many clients who come back again and again, for us to rent out their properties, and to find somewhere to rent,” she adds. Key to her success is a dedicated team of long-serving staff, and professional support contractors, providing service 24/7. “We have four loyal staff, who are respectful, caring, and a credit to us,” she adds.
Having experienced the Christchurch earthquakes first hand, Shona has also dealt with EQC personally, and project managed repairs and contractors for clients, while supporting tenants.
“Members of my family own rental properties, and I also have family members who are tenants so I can see both sides. My aim is to always ensure both parties are treated fairly, and we achieve the best possible outcome. I value my work and treat each property as if it was my own. I always ask myself, if this was my property would I be happy?”
