A good place to go: The Good Home Pegasus
While everyone has a different definition of ‘home’, there is something we all share. It’s a feeling. A sensation of comfort, where you can breathe, relax, unwind and be at ease.
By fashioning spaces you can call your own, The Good Home Pegasus has recreated this feeling. Spaces to relax; hang with a bunch of friends, or the good crew from the office. It’s about lunch with no plans for the afternoon; a cocktail or two after five, an easy dinner with the family, or a beer while watching sport on a big screen.
The team has some of your favourite Speight’s beers on tap, alongside classics such as Stella Artois, Guinness, Steinlager, and Macs, and Kiwi brews on tap from Panhead, Emersons, and Little Creatures.
“We don’t stop there though,” says owner Andy Laloli. “Enjoy sipping a fresh daiquiri, or relaxing by the lake in our sunny courtyard, perhaps a neat whisky in the sports den, or simply a raspberry and coke with the kids. Whatever your elixir may be, you can enjoy it in a relaxing environment.”
Andy says that food is where they really bring the place to life. The Good Home is all about the gastropub experience; a place where “menu items may be similar to pub grub, yet the ingredients and methods used lifts the dishes from predictable to tastefully unbelievable.”
Whether you are all about platters on a Sunday afternoon, taking that someone special out for a gourmet treat or just not into cooking at home tonight, let the team at The Good Home Pegasus do the hard work for you. Andy adds they will keep everyone happy, “even the kids, especially with our new enclosed outdoor playground”.
Functions are a specialty. “We make your function hassle-free and memorable. Nestled on the banks of Lake Pegasus, our size, location, environment, and views create a unique function spot, with our build and fitout complemented by multiple courtyards and private spaces,” says Andy.
From 10 to 300 guests may be catered for, at corporate events, parties, and social occasions. Staff know that a well-organised function reflects your personality without you having to lift a finger. “The Good Home Pegasus has a flavour all of its own; you’ll notice the enticing array of drinks at the bar, the tempting treats on the menu, and the smiles of the friendly folk who’ll serve you,” adds Andy.
