A gorgeous glampsite: Stay Geraldine

Picture yourself snuggled up with your partner, surrounded by nature, watching the sunset and listening to birdsong.

Sounds dreamy, right? Well, venture two hours from Christchurch and you can experience this.

Following on from their popular couples’ Fiery Peak Eco-Retreat, the team behind Stay Geraldine this year has converted an old bus on its rural property into a romantic couple (or best friends) eco-glamping experience, opening this summer.

“The bus sits nestled at the edge of a forest, north-facing with mountain views,” owner Kay Paterson says. “There will be outdoor games to play, a spring-fed plunge pool to take a wake-up or cool-down dip in, and a wood-fired hot tub to soak and sit under the sky full of stars.”

There’s also a firepit where you can while away the time, chatting and roasting marshmallows as the sun sets over the mountains and the day turns to night. The bus has a kitchen, wood fire, free standing queen bed, hot shower, and flush toilet. So, no hardships here.

Get away from the bustle of city life and reconnect with your partner or friend at Fiery Peak Glampsite. It’s just 10 minutes from the village of Geraldine for you to explore and stock up on supplies. Check out the progress and book at the website or contact Kay on 027 358 3022 or kay@staygeraldine.nz to receive updates for your unique, summer glamping experience.
