3 ways to refresh your home for spring

Set aside a spare afternoon to reset your home or room this season.

Declutter
Spring is fresh and carefree, and the idea of living a life like that is just as appealing. Start by decluttering your home spaces. Give yourself a short timeframe and walk around your house, thinking about items you no longer need or use. If it becomes overwhelming, work through the 12-12-12 challenge. Determine 12 items that need to be put back in their proper home, 12 items to donate, and
12 items that need to be thrown away.

Reset
Once you have reduced the clutter around your home, work through the spaces and clean, clean, clean. Dust high places, wipe surfaces and objects, vacuum each room, and disinfect high-touch areas such as doorknobs. Entering the season with a clean space is a feeling like no other and makes your weekly resets much easier.

Rotate
Swap out moodier hues for light and bright shades in your curtains, throws, pillows, and décor. Lighter fabrics complement the spring season to create synchronicity in your space. Move furniture around, and add pieces that harmonise with your colour scheme, and remove those that don’t.
