The Supper Club

The Piano Events Centre is set to come alive with ‘The Supper Club’, a mesmerising show with a unique blend of music, storytelling, and theatrical flair.

Starring the extraordinary entertainer Ali Harper and the Jazz Hot Supper Club Band. Ali Harper’s career is marked by versatility and a relentless pursuit of new challenges. She has won prestigious awards in New York, written, produced and toured numerous shows such as A Doris Day Special, The Look of Love honouring Burt Bacharach, A Natural Woman celebrating Carole King and Legendary Divas which she currently performs on cruise ships around the world.

Ali constantly asks herself, “What haven’t I done yet,” which inspired the creation of The Supper Club. This show is more than just a performance, it’s an experience. Ali, along with the Jazz Hot Supper Club Band, brings the audience on a journey through various musical eras all set in a secluded hotspot in Paris. This vibrant show includes songs such as Cole Porter’s It’s De-Lovely, to Edith Piaf’s Non, je ne regrette rien, to Madonna’s Material Girl.

“I am finding the beauty and freedom of getting older means I am tapping into sides of me that are less restricted. In The Supper Club I get to fulfil my love of Paris, styles of music that excite me, artists that have inspired me, and muses that are uniquely mine,” Ali says.

After launching the show in Wellington earlier this year to rave reviews, this Christchurch season will be a testament to her dedication to the craft and passion for entertaining.
