Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail
1-7 Days
Easy – Intermediate
The trail has two official start points, Aoraki Mt / Cook and
Lake Tekapo Village and ends in Oamaru on the Otago Coast. However, the trail can be ridden in either direction.
This trail serves up remarkable South Island scenery on its
way from the foot of the Southern Alps all the way to the
Pacific Ocean.
West Coast Wilderness Trail
4-5 Days
Easy – Intermediate
The trail can be started at either end, Greymouth in the north, and Ross in the south. Each of the four sections takes around
3–5 hours.
On this trail, you will be amidst the rainforest, tumbling rivers,
and unspoiled lakes and see beaches backdropped by the
mighty Southern Alps.
Otago Central Rail Trail
Easy
1-5 days
This is one of the simplest Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand. It boasts a smooth, expansive path with an almost entirely level terrain, occasionally featuring gentle inclines.
The primary trailheads are located at Clyde and Middlemarch,
yet cyclists can start their journey from various points along
the route.
