Meet Metropol’s motoring writer
Ever since I can remember, I have always been utterly fascinated with all things automotive. My mother loved to tell others that her two-year-old son would sit at the bus stop and call out the make of just about every car which went past.
During my school years, I developed a keen interest in English and the written word. I then decided to fashion a career writing and talking about cars, something I started at the age of 17 with an article in the school newsletter about a classic Ferrari.
Cars have always been a big part of my life. Being given the opportunity as a motoring writer to drive new and classic cars, write stories, present videos and just generally prattle on about my favourite subject for a variety of national platforms in print and online over the last 13 years has been a dream come true.
My relationship with Metropol started back in 2010. I was told, while studying Media Comms at Aoraki Polytechnic, that a vacancy had opened up, at a successful and well-known Canterbury lifestyle magazine, for a motoring writer. Through the years there have been many changes to the local print world, yet Metropol has flourished and today, our partnership is
still strong.
I certainly hope you will enjoy all the latest reviews, news, features and other yarns regarding anything with an engine in this and upcoming issues of Metropol.
Stay safe out there.
