Bold ceramics are being used to inject joy and personality into walls and floors. In particular, thin rectangular tiles, also known as finger tiles, are trending. Pinterest reports that search terms like ‘blue ceramic tile’ and ‘unique tiles’ are up about 500% while ‘vintage tiles’ are up 1107%.
Art Deco Décor
Defined by geometric forms, streamlined silhouettes, and motifs like sunbursts, zigzags, chevrons, and stylised florals, Gen Z is embracing the glamour of 1920’s Art Deco as many move into their first rentals or onto the property ladder. On Pinterest, searches for ‘art deco vintage’ are up 805%; ‘new art deco’ 497%, and ‘1980s art deco’ 509%.
Rococo revival
Another trend that proves the people want more. According to Pinterest’s 2025 Report, Rococo revival is bringing back rumpled romance in interiors with a soft-feminine flourish. Defined by ornamental details, pastel palettes, and playful extravagance, this late-Baroque-inspired trend channels the salons of Marie Antoinette for the TikTok generation.
