Games people play

Holidays, long weekends, and summer evenings offer great opportunities for family fun and games.

Monopoly: The ultimate board game, this can be set up indoors or out (watch the wind) and affords hours of pleasure playing. Did you know there is a Christchurch version?
Backyard cricket: Santa may decide to leave a cricket set under the Christmas tree so the family can break out bats, balls and bails in the backyard, at the beach, or a local park. Other popular outdoor games include throwing basketball hoops, mini golf, and bullrush or tag.
Cornhole: A simple yet challenging game, this is fun for all ages, and you don’t need a lot of space to set it up. Players take turns throwing small fabric bean bags at an inclined board with a hole in it.
