Bates Joinery was involved with several of the big winners. “We are honoured to have worked with National and Regional Supreme House of the Year Award Winner, Clive Barrington, and proud to have worked with great National Award winners Home Trends Builders and Avenue Architectural Builders, among others,” says Mark.

Examples of the kind of joinery that contributes to award winning homes can be found in Bates’ inhouse showroom, which is available to visit by appointment.

“Darker kitchens are the current trend, plus there is a definite move to wood grains. Our two large New Zealand panel manufacturers have created some beautiful textured wood grain finishes, and we are seeing superb contemporary results combining matt black with timber.”
