Tait Gallery prides itself on being a place where the imagination can run wild. Owner William Taylor invites you to call in next time you’re in the alpine village, and explore all the beautiful creations on display.
“We believe that a visit to Tait Gallery is not for the faint hearted,” says Wiiliam. “There is so much talent to be experienced here. Indeed we rejoice in the fact that we support New Zealand art and that our collection features sculptures, ceramics, pottery and glassware made locally.”
The gallery’s eclectic display of original art by established artists includes paintings in oil, watercolour, acrylic, pastel and mixed media. As well, discover beautifully framed photographs and exquisite jewellery that includes pre-loved and modern pieces. With a passion for people, artists and the visual arts, this is a cultural place for visitors as well as a place of pride within the Hanmer Springs village.
Visit Tait Gallery at 34 Conical Hill Road from 10am to 4pm, Thursday to Tuesday, closed Wednesdays.
