The Crossing instant style

Spring, please!

I hate to be one of those people who talks about the weather, but after what has felt like a very long end to winter, between the rain and those negative-degree Christchurch mornings…
I am more than ready for some milder days and a little more colour.

I’ve spent the past few months layering lots of brown, grey and black, so for spring I’m really looking forward to bringing some brighter and lighter colour back into my wardrobe.

From what we’re seeing on runways overseas, I think there’s going to be quite a move back towards more expressive dressing too with vibrant colour, a return to florals, and unexpected
combinations.

For my spring edit at The Crossing, I’ve pulled together looks for some of the different occasions the new season might bring.

As always, I love pieces you can dress up or down, and most of these looks can completely change with a heel and the right accessories. My change-of-season handbag non-negotiable is also a good lip balm.

I’m definitely not packing away the layers just yet; this is Christchurch after all, but consider this my attempt at manifesting spring.
