Terrazzo may have finally knocked marble off its perennial popularity perch, as the forgotten flooring of the 1970s has returned to brighten up ceilings, entryways and everything in between.

But we’re taking a rather soft approach to this composite material that was created in Italy more than 500 years ago, with bedspreads, throws, drapes and other soft furnishings taking on this magical mosaic.
