DO
• Check with your office first, determine if it is appropriate, and what day(s) work best. Always consider any potential allergies in your team.
• Scope out any hazards or dangers that could harm your dog within the office and surroundings.
• Ensure your dog is healthy and up-to-date with any vaccinations or identification requirements.
• Prepare or train your dog for the new environment and people.
• Set up an area near your workspace with their favourite bed or blanket, toys to avoid boredom, and a water bowl. Keep a treat stash handy.
• Set aside time for walk and toilet breaks. Work can get busy, and these breaks can be easily forgotten if not scheduled in.
• Appreciate calm, good behaviour with reward-based positive reinforcement.
• Be prepared to clean up after them, whatever that may be.
