A traditional Chinese festival, commonly known as “Guo Nian”, the festival heralds the start of spring in China, and the arrival of the new year. Celebratory customs include sticking Spring Festival couplets, buying New Year’s goods, and family dinners.

Here are some ideas to incorporate oriental design into your interior:

• Natural materials – Eastern-themed homes often use natural materials and eco-friendly building materials, such as wood, stone, and plants, to create a sense of calm and relaxation.

• Fragrances – Bring fragrances into your aesthetic with wind chimes, fragrant candles, and sandalwood incense.

• Calligraphy – Scrolls of painting or calligraphy are characteristic of interior design in the East.
