One of Christchurch’s best function and events venues is located just a short drive from the airport and has access to over 300 car parks. That’s right, the Hornby Club is a premier events venue with options for small meetings through to large expos, conferences, sporting tournaments and celebrations.
In a unique offering, the Hornby Club offers breakfast meeting rooms for 10 to 40 people, all the way up to their large events space, which can host 450 people.
General manager Tim Mathews says it is their versatility and parking that make the club unique.
“We enjoy hosting some of the largest corporates in Canterbury for their team days, conferences and breakfast meetings. We can offer them a variety of room options, set up in different ways to optimise their events, and a delicious range of catering styles. In addition, our members regularly celebrate their special events with us. It’s an honour to be their preferred function venue.”
With a specialist event management team, the Hornby Club delivers all events in-house with catering, equipment, and conference technology available.
Completed in 2022, the venue is modern and bright, with beautiful new furnishings and top of the line conference options on offer.
The mezzanine is one of their most popular rooms due to its size. It fits 60 to 150 people, with a dedicated bar and breakout room and is the perfect room to host a 40th birthday or engagement party. It can also be used for seminars and workshops.
