A Mediterranean-inspired wedding venue on the beautiful Banks Peninsula.
Nestled on the stunning Banks Peninsula, family-owned French Farm Estate offers a breathtaking backdrop for intimate weddings of up to 130 guests from spring 2026. The venue can accommodate smaller weddings as early as this season.
Currently undergoing complete renovation, the main lodge will emerge as a boutique European retreat. Its elegant event rooms boast double-vaulted ceilings, statement wallpaper, and a bar featuring a wide selection of quality beverages, including the Estate’s wine label. There will also be two self-contained romantic suites accommodating up to six guests, including the generous bridal suite, with dedicated hair and makeup stations.
Guests will be charmed by the elegant glass atrium, adorned with antique French beaded chandeliers. This space is perfect for hosting canapés and leads out to a triple-tiered Mediterranean-style terrace with an outdoor bar and idyllic ocean views.
Additional on-site accommodation in our converted barrel room consisting of four self-contained bedrooms catering for eight to 10 guests. Outdoors, expansive lawns stretch before panoramic vistas of Akaroa Harbour, creating the ultimate ceremony setting. The lawns allow for arriving in style by helicopter, hosting outdoor games, or enjoying the full-size pétanque court.
