A spring clean

Just as we give our homes a “spring clean”, so too will gardens benefit from a tidy up at this time of the year. Here are some suggestions from Metropol.

– Finish any last minute pruning.
• Clean out drainage areas.
• Treat the lawn to some nutrients.
• Sow vegetable seeds for summer salads.
• Prepare and plant a herb garden.
• Tidy and top up plant pots.
• Pop seed potatoes into mounds.
• Continue to plant seed potatoes.
• Plant and feed strawberries.
