75 years of Gran Turismo

Maserati’s GranTurismo is a way of life for many drivers; a high-performance car, suitable for long distances and also for comfortable journeys.

It all began 75 years ago with the Maserati A6 1500, launched in March 1947 at the Geneva Motor Show. That first GranTurismo, the Tipo A6 took its name from the project, but is better known as the A6 1500 GranTurismo.

In the decades since then, Maserati has extensively revamped the technology and design of the GranTurismo. Next year will see the launch of the next generation, which will be the Trident brand’s first 100 percent electric car.
